It sure has been an eventful six months; biggest thing is my wife and I bought a house. A big chunk of my life has been maintenance related to that - minor house repairs, yardwork, unpacking. That hasn't left a ton of hobby time, but that doesn't mean stuff hasn't been happening.
Card Games
Digimon: The last I bought any major amount of Digimon was BT15/ST17; I've filled out some promos (notably, closed out LM1 & BT14 SECs and bought up Beginning 2.0 promos once their prices tanked) but otherwise haven't touched it. Hopefully there'll be some kind of windfall soonish, but I'm not sanguine about it. Uncollected at this point is BT16, BT17, ST18, ST19, EX6, and EX7. By the time I get around to catching up there'll probably be up to BT20 and EX8, plus a special release set covering a bunch of Japanese LMs.
Digimon is leaning harder into tokens. There's an artist online I follow who makes Token art and I have art for stuff up to the current English release, but there's more for BT19 that he hasn't shared yet.
Magic: Since this one isn't really an ongoing collection, it's been a lot more relaxed. The latest set (Duskmourn) has a solid face-down theme and a bunch of cool Archenemy stuff; I'm considering a Commander deck for the former and filling out my Archenemy collection with the latter. Next year though there'll be a Tarkir set and I very well may go rabid over it.
I lost my Mirrodin Beseiged poison die for a few months, but it was returned to me last weekend. Happy to have everything back together; it shot up in price recently for some reason so I had resigned myself to just not having one any longer.
Magi-Nation: Lots of weird drama going on with this campaign, but it still seems to be trucking along. I'm a little upset that the Cald deck has a brand new promo in it that wasn't included in the All Promos add-on, but I'm just gonna have to trade for it when I trade for boxes. In actual collecting notes, I tracked down a copy of Warrada (for my Alt Art collection) and a Dream's End booster pack (opened).
I need to work on the MSE projects sometime - updating the template and filling out the MRP set.
Board Games
Dinogenics: New Arrivals is finally crowdfunding! Really excited for this, and I'm also getting coins, sleeves, and a neoprene mat.
Unmatched: Slings and Arrows came out a few months ago. Haven't gotten around to buying it, but I'm looking forward to having it. Kinda also want to get all the Marvel shit too, but that's a lot of money so I dunno. But Spider-Man!
RPGs
Thousand Year Old Vampire: So You've Met A funded last week, so now I'm just waiting on delivery on that. I really ought to schedule some time to do more prompts.
Frontiers of Eberron: This finally released, and I need to order the Premium Color hardcopy for the collection. Probably going to be my next personal purchase.
I'm also thinking about the revised 5e core, since this is compatible with it. Probably going to wait until there's a reasonably-priced core set bundle.
Swords of the Serpentine: There's an adventure collection called Brought to Light I'd like to get; I prefer to keep my RPG collections up-to-date where possible.
Pathfinder: I need to spend some time on that 3PP collation project, so I can finally get my Iron Gods campaign up and running again. Also considering an Age of Worms thing, though I should at least get more underway with Iron Gods before committing to that.
Heartbreaker: I've made no movement on this in an age and a half, but it keeps floating at the back of my skull, scratching away. I wish I had the time to devote to actually writing an alpha draft.
Accessories: I want to pick up some journals and a pencil bag from Cognitive Surplus; in particular I think the Alchemy-themed journal and pencil bag would be fun for my prospective Age of Worms game and M:tG dice, respectively.
Personal Life
Beside the whole move-and-home-ownership dance, I've been thinking about starting my days earlier, if only to force myself to use some time on personal creative projects, or do journaling or posting on here. It's so easy to just zonk out late at night. I know I've posted about this sort of thing before, but it's just a really hard rut to get out of.
Similarly I'm thinking I need to cut a lot of screen time out of my life. And by that I mean Youtube and doomscrolling on various social media sites; there's plenty of screen time that could be useful or at least cathartic that I end up not doing because I'm wasting my time flipping through bad takes.
Hopefully I can get on with that and start actually using this site with some regularity.
